I was born in Rochester, Michigan. I graduated from Rochester High School, and thereafter attended Indiana University where I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1990 and earned two Bachelor=s Degrees. I attended Wayne State University Law School where I earned my Juris Doctor Degree in 1993. I was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1993, and that same year joined Bebout, Potere & Cox P.C. as an associate attorney. I became a shareholder and partner in the firm in 1998. I served as the Assistant City Attorney/Prosecutor for the City of Rochester from 1993 until 1998, and, in 1998 I was appointed the Rochester City Attorney and Prosecutor for the City of Rochester, where I continuously served in such position for 10 years. I left my municipal law practice in 1998 to focus solely on my private practice of family law, estate planning and real estate transactions, which I had simultaneously maintained since commencing my law career in 1993.
I continue my private practice with the firm, which is now known as Bebout, Potere, Cox & Bennion, P.C. and I continue to specialize in Family Law (divorce, child custody and parenting time, spousal and child support, property division and retirement benefits, annulments, separation, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, paternity, and post-judgment proceedings), Estate Planning, Trusts and Probate Administration, Real Estate Law (residential and commercial), Business Law (formation of business entities, contracts, sale, purchase, and related transactional matters, and employee/employer related issues), and, litigation in practice areas listed.
